Summer has arrived in Summit County! Here are three Colorado adventures you can do right now. All three of the activities can be accomplished in the same day, if you are willing to have an epic Colorado summer day!

Sail on Lake Dillon

Take the entire family out for an adventure on Lake Dillon. There are local companies that will take you out on the water with little to no experience in sailing. Make sure to bring water, sunscreen and sun glasses as you cruise around beauty Lake Dillon. There are two marinas to cast off from, the Frisco Marina which is down the street from the Frisco Lodge and the Dillon Marina.

Get air at the Frisco Adventure Park

The Frisco Adventure Park offers trails for the beginner and huge jumps for the more advanced bicycle rider. It's free to the public and open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. We would recommend bringing knee pads and a helmet. If you have a GoPro for your helmet; you can catch your epic ride in HD! It's a great place to bring the whole family for summer fun; even watching the experience mountain bikers is a thrill.

Catch some waves on our rapids

On June 8, 2106  Tenmile Creek between Copper Mountain and Frisco was rapidly rising to give local kayakers a taste of nonstop Class IV rapids on a 6-mile float from Officer's Gulch to Main Street Frisco. Flows started at 688cfs — and they only got higher from there. You can rent kayaks from our local shop Ten Mile Kayaks. They will provide you with the kayak and safety gear.

Whether you choose one or all three of our Colorado summer adventures, you are bound to have a great time. So get out there and explore.
