Fun in Summit County: Your Go-To Guide Through June

Frisco-Main-Street-BBQ-ChallengePack your bags and break out the sunblock. Summertime in Summit County is here and there is endless fun in the sun to be had! We've decided to put together a list of the most anticipated upcoming events. If you're heading up to Summit within the next month, be sure to book your stay with us for exclusive Frisco Main Street action (great for the BBQ Challenge) and be sure to ask us about ongoing deals! 

Every Saturday in May: Free concerts at Arapaho Basin (and spring skiing)! If you're not ready to put your skis and boards away for the season, get a few last runs in at A-Basin this May and Early June. Afterwards, enjoy a (free) live show courtesy of the Shakin' at the Basin May Concert Series.

Friday, June 3: New Orleans comes to the Colorado high country with the Cajun Crawfish Broil! This Breckenridge event is only $35 and for that you get crawfish with al the fixins and tasty Colorado craft beer. 

Beginning June 5: Friday Farmer’s Markets every week through mid-September! Partake in freshest produce around and create some organic, seasonal dishes from the best local summer harvests.

Frisco-BBQ-ChallengeFriday, June 10: Embark on this uniquely old western Swinging Doors Saloon Tour. Taste the past at the Breckenridge Distillery and learn about the historic saloons of Summit County. 21+.

Wednesday, June 15: The National Repertory Orchestra will put on a free concert for all of Summit County right in Breckenridge. Enjoy your classical favorites live! 

Beginning June 16: Sunset Swing at the Dillon Ampitheater. Get your groove on and enjoy free dance lessons all in the name of charity. Admission is free with the option of giving a small donation. 

Summer ConcertsJune 16, 17 & 18: Head to downtown Frisco for one of the most anticipated events of the summer season – the Frisco BBQ Challenge. Partake in fantastic eatin’ from all around the country, enjoy incredible live concerts all weekend and of course, grab a cold one. Other festivities include pig races, a firefighter cookoff and a 6k run.  

June 23, 24, 25 & 30: Take a trip to 1920’s Chi Town by attending Summit County’s local rendition of the musical Chicago. Get your tickets fast – this show is sure to sell out!
