How to Decide if a Frisco Bed & Breakfast Is Right For You

Posted by: admin January 7th, 2015

Visitors to bed & breakfasts (B&Bs) often cite charm, a peaceful atmosphere, hospitality, good home cooking, and conversation with fellow guests as top reasons for staying at B&Bs. Well, here at our Frisco bed & breakfast, we are proud to say that we can offer up an emphatic yes to all of the above! But, B&Bs are often misunderstood in their offerings and amenities, so in that vein, here are some of those common myths debunked so you can decide if our Frisco bed & breakfast is the right place for you.

You Like Meeting People or Not Meeting People (Either Way)

Retreat RoomSince the Frisco Lodge’s mantra is “Your Home Away From Home,” we focus more on privacy than on socializing. But, our unique infrastructure supports both the introvert and extrovert with a unique and diverse range of accommodations, including a stand-alone cottage, to fit everyone’s needs. So, no need to feel obligated to sit and chat, and in fact, unless you make a point of sitting and chatting, we won’t even know if you’re home or out seeing all that Summit County has to offer!

You Like Eating a Big Breakfast (Or Not)

Communal DiningWe offer a full gourmet breakfast that is a hearty culinary treat not to be missed. Each morning we offer “made to order” espresso, cappuccino and latte drinks, our signature Belgian waffles, hot and cold cereals, fresh fruit, fresh bread and pastries, yogurt, toast, orange juice, coffee, and tea. But, for the hearty eater, our staff creates a variety of gourmet dishes for your added enjoyment. These dishes include soufflés, egg and meat dishes, pancakes, and French toast to name a few. So, you decide on how much you would like to eat and whom you would like to share your morning meal with.

Whether you are feeling social or not (mentioned above), The Frisco Lodge offers a community dining table, private tables in the retreat room, a courtyard for outdoor dining, or you can relax with your breakfast next to the warm fire with the morning paper.

You Enjoy The Finer Touches

Hot TubEach afternoon, get treated like royalty with a complimentary glass of wine and a selection of seasonal Hours D’ouvres served in our retreat room. In winter, the added soup bar with hot cider and tea will warm your bones, while in summer we feature homemade appetizers, cookies, and fresh lemonade to cool you off.

Oh yeah, did I mention that we also have a beautiful courtyard equipped with a BBQ, outdoor fireplace, and hot tub?

Shared Bathrooms Got You Nervous?

Private BathroomSome inns only offer communal bathrooms. This might be a viable option for college students living in dormitories, but here at the Frisco Lodge don’t fret as our En Suite Deluxe Rooms, North Lodge and North Lodge Deluxe Rooms, and The Cottage all have their own private baths. If you are looking to relive your college glory days, our Classic and Classic Deluxe Rooms offer a shared bath experience.

You Just Need to Watch SportsCenter

TelevisionA lot of B&Bs don’t have television sets in each room … some just have a communal set. But, here at our Frisco bed and breakfast, all of our rooms come equipped with a DVD player, cable television, Wi-Fi, and phone. Watch your SC highlights on TV or grab your laptop and/or tablet to catch the plays of the day!

So, in summary, in a lot of ways we are the typical bed & breakfast that provides exactly what you are looking for in a B&B, but some of those myths that might keep you away are simply not true. Be social or not, eat a gourmet breakfast or not, take advantage of the finer touches or not, enjoy the solitude of a private bathroom, and rejoice in the fact that you will be able watch HD TV 24/7.
