Copper Mountain, Keystone Resort, and Arapahoe Basin are all now open for the 2014-15 season with Breckenridge slated to open Friday, November 14th. So, as of this weekend, your stay at our Frisco bed and breakfast will provide you with the perfect starting point to all four world-class resorts. In addition, the snow is falling and there really is no relief in site, so the atypical early season warm weather seems to have fallen by the wayside.

2nd Annual Wassail Days

From December 5-14, the 7th Annual Wassail Days will be returning to Frisco. Grab a steaming cup of warm Wassail (Old English apple cider) and stroll among the holiday directions on Frisco’s historic Main Street with various shops offering unique Colorado gifts. Guests are encouraged to taste at least 12 different types of wassail at 12 different locations and fill their “12 Sips of Wassail Card” to exchange for a commemorative Frisco Wassail Days mug.

There is a complete schedule of events available, including caroling, the Frisco Holiday Tree Lighting, Santa Claus visits, the Soup Cup Classic, free 30-minutes of tubing, free skiing, snowshoeing and horse drawn sleight rides at the Frisco Adventure Park Tubing Hill, and the Ugly Sweater Challenge.

Wassail Days on Main Street FriscoThe Ugly Sweater Challenge is new to Wassail Days this year and figures to be a popular event. On Saturday, December 13th, break out your favorite ugly sweater and dash down Main Street completing fun holiday obstacles along the way. Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories and dogs with ugly sweaters are welcome too!

The 2nd Annual Soup Cup Classic will be held at the Frisco Adventure Park Day Lodge from 4-6pm on Sunday, December 7th. Take advantage of two hours of tubing and then cozy up by the fire and enjoy a variety of delicious soups. For the more adventurous, put your own soup to the test in the amateur category.

2nd Annual Turkey Day 5K

Open to all ages, the 2nd Annual Turkey Day 5K will be sure to burn off those extra Thanksgiving meal calories. Taking place at the Summit County Recreation Path and Town of Frisco side streets, this race benefits the Family & Intercultural Resource Center of Summit County with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Frisco Elementary’s S.T.E.M. program.

Taking place snow or shine, the race starts at the old Community Center (110 3rd Ave.) at 9:30am and will finish in the Peak One Neighborhood (roughly 4 blocks from the starting line).

2nd Annual Turkey Day 5KRegistration is $15 for adults 18+, $10 for youth ages 6-17, with kids 5 and under running for free. Registration fee includes a custom Turkey Day 5K Polar Water Bottle for all paying participants. All racers are also encouraged to make a non-perishable food donation – for every five items donated; you will receive an extra ticket for the prize giveaway.

Speaking of the prize giveaway, a post-race party will be held in the Peak One Neighborhood finish line with prize giveaways (must be present to win) and delicious refreshments, including wassail from The Lost Cajun restaurant in Frisco.
