Where should I park?

We encourage those attending the Colorado BBQ Challenge and anyone working during the event to park in the Summit Middle School parking lot and take a shuttle bus to the event on Main Street. The shuttle bus runs all day during the event hours, and will take you directly between your vehicle and 1 block off of Main Street at Granite Street.

Free Middle School parking lot shuttle buses will run:

Friday 11:00am – 9:30pm

Saturday 10:00am – 6:30pm

You can also park for FREE at the Frisco Lodge if you are staying with us during the event.

How much should I expect to spend?

The Frisco BBQ Challenge brings out the best BBQ'ers in the nation. You are guaranteed to have a great foodie experience. Plus it is has free admittance and is family-friendly. That being said, the event is expensive. Plan on spending around $8 per meal or $2 for tasters. Beer is around $5 - $10 depending on the vendor. You pay in Hogback tickets. Hogback tickets can be purchased at ticket booths throughout the event. $1 = 1 Hogback.

Can I bring my beloved pet?

No. With the big crowds and hot temperatures the furry ones are not allowed.

What else is going on besides the food?

Seven bands, pig races, kids’ activities, the 3rd Annual Fire Fighter Cook Off on the BlueStar Kitchen Stage Presented by Maximum Comfort Pool and Spa and  Lynx Grills, food sampling and demos, the Breckenridge Distillery Whiskey Tour, and the Bacon Burner 6k.

How about a handy map?
