What better way to take a break from working hard all year than the holiday that honors hardworking Americans? Labor Day weekend is the perfect opportunity to make your way up to the Colorado High Country for one last Summit County summer hoo-rah (and to escape the Front Range heat). There’s no shortage of things to do in and around the County this Labor Day weekend, and the Frisco Lodge Bed & Breakfast is right in the heart of it all! Thursday, September 1:
Ghostly Tales – This 90-minute haunted walking tour begins at 7 PM and will show you a side of Breckenridge that will give you the goose bumps.
Girls Night Out – Ladies: kick off Labor Day Weekend with free half-pints from 9-11 PM at Dillon Dam Brewery!
Open Mic – Put your entertainment skills to the test at Dillon Damn Brewery beginning at 9:30 PM!
Friday, September 2:
Strange But True – Kidnappings, disappearances and other strange events from Breckenridge’s hayday. The 90-minute tour begins at 2 PM.
The Flobots – Head over to the Lake Dillon Ampitheather at 7 PM to jam along to “Handlebars” and other hits!
First Date – Musical – “First Date” makes for the perfect date night! You’ll want to catch this musical rendition of modern dating at 7:30 PM.
Saturday, September 3:
Copper Country – Celebrate the American spirit with live music and arts at Copper Mountain at 8 AM.
41st Annual Gathering at the Great Divide – Head over to North Main Street at Wellington (Breckenridge) for this annual fine arts festival occurring all weekend!
Keystone’s Oktoberfest – Make your way over to Keystone at 10 AM for beer, fun and festivities!
Voices From the Grave – Join the walking tour which begins at the Original Cemetery of Breckenridge at 11 AM and learn about the history of local burial grounds.
Copper Campfire and Fireworks – Roast some s’mores and join in the sing along in Copper Mountain Center Village at 6:30 PM.
Dead Horses & End of Summer Fireworks – The show begins at 7 PM, but be sure to stick around for the End of the Summer Fireworks show!
Moonlight Swim and Movie Night – Take a dip in the EagleVail Swimming Pool while enjoying a flick on the big screen at 8 PM!
Sunday, September 4:
DooWop Denny Rockin Oldies Show – Enjoy hits from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, right here in Frisco at 4 PM!
Movies on the Water: The Jungle Book & HawkQuest – Perfect for the whole family! This final installment of Movies on the Water (Dillon Amphitheater) kicks off at 6:30 PM.
Space Oddity: The Ultimate David Bowie Experience – Head to the Vilar Performing Arts Center at 8 PM in Beaver Creek for this epic tribute to Ziggy Stardust!
Monday, September 5:
BMC No-School Mini Camp – Enjoy your day off in Summit County. Send the kids off to mini camp at the Breckenridge Rec Center for a day they will thoroughly love!
Open Kayak Night – Perfect your kayaking skills at the EagleVail Pool at 6:30 PM.
Tiffany Christopher – Check out this one-woman band at Route 6 Café in Vail – 7 PM.
